How do I submit my music ?

Accepted Answer

The best way to submit music is by contacting the individual radio hosts if there is a specific show you think might be suitable for your release, our radio hosts are responsible for their own playlists. A full list of shows on our network can be found on our Radio Show Schedule page, just scroll to the bottom of the page.
 
If you would like to be considered for promotional shows you will need to send an email to info@bluesandrootsradio.com and our studio will help from there. 
 
Do not send tracks to our mail address, send an introductory email and then once contact is made, send links to your dropbox, WeTransfer link or similar as directed by our studio..

Do I have to pay to be played ?

Absolutely not.
 
99% of tracks played on our network are done so free of charge, as chosen by our individual show presenters.
 
we do offer promotional services as options to help get your music out to a wider audience around the world, either through our PR company, Boreal PR, or feature shows on the station, but these are optional choices.
 
We are licensed through SOCAN and pay yearly fees so that artists are compensated for any airplay.

Where are Blues and Roots Radio based ?

Our HQ is in Mississauga, ON, Canada, just outside Toronto, we have hubs in Melbourne, VC, Australia, the UK, Ireland and the USA.
 
We broadcast fifty radio shows from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, Germany, Belgium and Italy playing independent artists 24/7. 
 
We cover a wide variety of genres from Roots, Americana, Blues, Contemporary Folk, Celtic, Canadiana, Bluegrass and everything in between.

We started out with 64 listeners in our first few months in 2012, we have steadily built a loyal listenership around the world which averages tens of thousands weekly. 
 
We have listeners in every corner of the globe from Canada, USA, Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, Australia and South America, we even have listeners in some countries in the continent of Africa.
