Anne and Stevie Connor have built a solid reputation over the last decade in the independent music industry in Canada and around the world. They are the founders of Blues and Roots Radio, a multi award winning online media platform and The Sound Cafe Magazine based in Port Credit, Ontario, Canada and have been trailblazing in the promotion of indie artists in many genres worldwide, they have established a network of radio shows, magazine partners and bloggers based in Canada, the USA, Australia, the UK, Ireland, Germany and Italy. The international network of contacts have them well placed with the creation of Boreal PR in offering their knowledge of the music industry not only in Canada but also internationally.

Anne Connor honed her skills working in a Toronto Law office before taking positions as an office and implementation manager for major Telco and international property development companies, Her eye for detail is a great strength and places her well in the work she does for Boreal PR.
Co-founder of Blues and Roots Radio and The Sound Cafe Magazine, Anne looks after business development, she works tirelessly in the promotion of independent artists from Canada and beyond.

Anne has contributed her many years of experience as a respected juror for the JUNO Awards and The Canadian Folk Music Awards, she also was host of Blues & Roots Radio's Album Of The Week show.

Stevie Connor has an extensive work history with the Scottish police force, and at senior levels in manufacturing, warehousing and quality control in the automotive industry both in the UK and Canada. He is a recorded artist having contributed to more than twenty albums in the past ranging from rock to folk and celtic music. He is a top class piper and plays guitar and whistles, his original compositions have been recorded and played by other artists.
Co-founder of Blues and Roots Radio and The Sound Cafe Magazine , he has written in the past for Blues and Roots Radio ( Canada ), Great Dark Wonder ( USA), Fatea Magazine ( UK ) and Music World Media ( Australia ).
Stevie has contributed his many years of experience as a respected juror for the JUNO Awards, The Canadian Folk Music Awards, and the Maple Blues Awards in Canada. Stevie is host of a weekly podcast on The Sound Cafe called 'Global Voices'. Since the closure of the station in 2024 he has been full time at The Sound Cafe.
