PRESENTER OF THE YEAR 2023
Blues and Roots Radio's 3rd annual award for Presenter Of The Year 2023
goes to Rick Stuart for his show Roots & Fusion.
Originally broadcast on Pure Radio in Stockport, England from 2009 and since 2014, Roots & Fusion was also syndicated out of Canada via Blues & Roots Radio.
In 2017 Rick asked the station owner, Stevie Connor, if he'd like Roots & Fusion
as an exclusive. He agreed and Rick started to work out how to do it live - with himself at home in England and the station in Canada. Rick bought a laptop & microphone, loaded Play It Live software, hooked up to the Canadian server
and off we went.
From November 2017 Roots & Fusion has been broadcasting
live & exclusive on Blues & Roots Radio.

Blues and Roots Radio's 2nd annual award for Presenter Of The Year 2022
goes to Ken Stearns for his show HeartBeatTrue Radio.
Ken is based in O'Brien, Florida, USA and has been with Blues & Roots Radio
from our earliest inception, he plays what he calls 'the wide open country', which
can be singer-songwriters, Southern Rock, Americana, Bluesgrass, Country, Blues
and everything in between. The show is anchored out of 100.1FM WGOT in Gainesville, Florida and is broadcast worldwide on Blues & Roots Radio.

One cool aspect of Ken's weekly show is the involvement of a couple of
very special co-presenters, who happen to be his grand children,
Caleb and Elena Chesnutt.
​

Blues and Roots Radio's inaugural annual award for Presenter Of The Year 2021 was presented to Paul Long for his show Blues And Roots Connections. Paul's
show contains music and background information on past and current Blues & Roots artists, Paul says, 'it may not always be the Blues, but it always has a connection'

Unfortunately due to Covid we were unable to make the presentation in person, so, we shipped the award over to England and here are a few words from Paul.
